Pinecreek Hills has had an outstanding start to the season and is enjoying its busiest summer since records began. The Park has been extended to provide even more fabulous new features and facilities. Charity Week is about to start and the Rangers are getting ready for what’s always one of the most hectic, but enjoyable weeks of the year. Events have been organised on Bluewaters Lake and along Pinecreek’s Rivers, Tracks and Trails.
Pinecreek’s National Wildlife Preserve has received special awards, the Centennial miniature Railroad has been extended to reach newly developed areas of the Park. A brand new Park attraction called Colonial Village where visitors can camp, go shopping and enjoy themselves, has been developed by restoring ruins of an old Pioneer town. All kinds of new Tracks and Trails have been made along the rivers and lakes and the awesome Pinecreek Hills Circle Trail for Bikers and Hikers has been improved so less physically able visitors can now trek or wheel themselves all the way up into the mountains. The Apaché trail has a new and awe inspiring Zip-Line across the River gorge and a truly fabulous Mountain Adventure Center has been opened to include the Arrowhead Café, Extreme Sports, Recreation, Gym, Sauna and Socialising areas. And while all this is going on, the Ranger team are on the trail of an unexpected and troublesome Poacher.
Chief arrives from National Parks HQ and has a briefing session to discuss Charity Week’s many events that have been arranged. These include a Circle Trail Jog, Lakeside Walk, Bike Ride, Kayakathon, and a Junk in the Trunk Sale.
